I know that Stanford is one of the best schools for a MIS degree. In the same area (San francisco/San Jose, California) is another good school, Santa Clara University, which is in the heart of Silicon Valley. If I were to major in management information systems, I would definitely do my best to go to school in or around the San Francisco Bay area since that is where Silicon Valley is, and where all the top IT companies are. Another school in the area, not as good but much cheaper, is San Jose State University. I hope this helps. Good luck!
