Equivalents US and UK Degree's

Hi, Can anyone help me figure out whether my BA in education (uk) is equivalent to a US Bachelours Degree or a US Masters Degree? Is a UK Higher National Diploma (HND) equivalent to a US Associate Degree? Any help would be great, I want to emmigrate to the states, to teach over there. Thanks Marcus
