USA International Student ID

In the USA, unlike in many places in Europe, there is no real need for international students to have an international students ID. In Europe, having an international student ID entitles the holder to certain discounts and other benefits. However, in the USA, there is no standard, nationally-recognized international student ID, although there are a few companies selling them. When you enroll in a US university, US college, or other form of school, you more than likely will be given an ID by school officials. This ID will entitle you to normal student discounts and benefits as afforded to other US students. Purchasing an international student ID offers very little and I would definitely suggest that international students save their money and NOT buy an international student ID.
